I. Accommodation Regulations
1. In compliance with government policies, a valid photo ID must be presented upon check-in.
2. Guests under 18 years old cannot check in alone and must be accompanied by a guardian or provide a signed parental consent form as proof of eligibility.
3. This hostel is designed for adults; therefore, we regret that we cannot accommodate children under 7 years of age.
4. To maintain the quality of accommodation, pets are not allowed. We appreciate your understanding.
5. If a room key is lost or damaged, a fee of TWD 500 per key will be charged.
6. Activities such as smoking, gambling, drug use, and theft are strictly prohibited within the property. Violators will be reported to law enforcement authorities.
7. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property in accordance with the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act and hostel regulations. Smoking or evidence of smoking (cigarette boxes, ashes, or butts) in rooms will result in a fine equivalent to double the nightly room rate to cover cleaning costs and business losses. Disputes will be referred to the relevant authorities.
8. Please respect our space and facilities. Do not damage or take hostel property. Any damages or losses will incur charges based on replacement costs.
9. To support environmental sustainability and government initiatives, Norden Ruder Hostel does not provide or sell disposable toiletries. Please remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.
II. Check-In, Check-Out, and Business Hours
1. Check-in time is from 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
2. Check-out time is at 11:00 AM.
3. Late check-outs will incur additional fees:
- TWD 100 per hour for single beds.
- TWD 200 per hour for double rooms.
- TWD 300 per hour for triple rooms.
- TWD 400 per hour for quadruple rooms.
Late check-outs are not permitted beyond 1:00 PM.
4. Reception hours are from 7:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Guests planning to check in after 10:30 PM must notify us in advance for self-check-in arrangements.
III. Guest Capacity and Additional Occupants
1. Rates are based on the number of guests specified during booking. Please adhere to the booking details.
2. If the actual number of guests exceeds the booking, an additional cleaning fee of TWD 500 per person per day will apply, regardless of age. Extra occupants are not guaranteed access to amenities or beds.
3. Rooms and amenities are designed for the stated occupancy. If additional guests are expected, we recommend modifying your reservation or booking extra rooms. Please contact us for details.
4. Extra beds are not available in any room type.
IV. Deposit and Payment
1. Credit card information is used solely for reservation guarantees. No charges are made when booking through our official website. For peak dates, pre-authorization may be applied to reserve the room, temporarily holding an amount equivalent to the total fee.
2. Full payment for the room is collected at check-in and can be made via credit card or cash.
3. For long-stay plans, a payment link will be sent upon receiving the reservation. Payment must be completed within one day to secure the booking.
4. Receipts or invoices will be issued at the time of payment. For receipts requiring a tax ID number, please provide the details at the front desk during check-in or via the payment portal. Changes cannot be made after check-out.
5. Guests wishing to use a government-issued travel card should book directly through our website. Payment via travel card will be processed in full at the front desk during check-in.
V. Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellations made at least three days before check-in incur no fees.
2. Cancellations made 1–2 days before check-in incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount.
3. Same-day cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full amount of the booking.
